Welcome to the website that celebrates Alice in Wonderland and the Hatter’s Tea Party.
Inspired by the 150th anniversary of Lewis Carroll’s book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, Sculptor Bridgette Mongeon created a monumental sculpture of the Mad Hatter’s tea party. The sculpture consists of a 10-foot bronze table where you can bring your lunch for the most whimsical dinning experience. The Mad Hatter is pouring tea, the March Hare is dunking Hatter’s watch, and there is a coveted seating next to Alice just under the Cheshire Cat. Not only is the Dormouse in attendance but there are 150 hidden things in the entire scene in celebration of the 150th anniversary of the story.
The commission is made possible through the Rubenstein Foundation. You will soon find the sculpture in Evelyn’s Park in Bellaire, Texas. Stay tuned to this website for the details on the unveiling of this sculpture along with a virtual reality tour that will soon follow.
In the mean time, check out the blog and videos, watch the process and visit the media links. Get some paper and start listing the 150 hidden elements. Many are revealed in the blog posts. Thanks for jumping down the rabbit hole on this adventure. THIS SITE IS A WORK IN PROGRESS-Much of the information is being transferred from the Finding Alice Sculpture page on Facebook. Eventually this site will replace the facebook page.
